Dayton H110

Manufacturers Info

Brand: Dayton Audio

Model: H110

Style: Constant Directivity

Coverage (H x V): 90 x 40

Minimum Frequency: 700 Hz

Throat: 1"

Mounting Type: 1-3/8"-18 TPI

Dimensions:11.5" W x 11.5" H x 9.625" D

Additional Notes:

Horn throat is too large (1.25"?) leading to a driver exit to throat mismatch which I have noticed on most of the Dayton Audio Horns and Waveguides.

CDX1-1731 required use of a 2mm spacer to reach throat.

Measurements:

Test Notes: Off axis and polars measured using a Celestion CDX1-1731

Mic distance 1m, measurements gated at 5ms and are smoothed at 1/48 Octave.

Vertical:

Vertical Off Axis Response - Normalized to On Axis

Vertical Polar Response - Normalized to On Axis

-6dB Coverage Angle Highlighted

Final Notes:

Horizontal dispersion appears close or perhaps a tad lower then the rated 90 degrees. Vertical dispersion is much wider then rated at roughly 60 degrees as tested.

The throat diameter mismatch adds some roughness to the top octave. I suspect if the throat was correctly sized the response would be smoother and the dispersion more even there.
